Gaby Lavalle is originally from Mexico City and moved to Chicago four years ago. She is an artist and educator with a painting certificate and a Master's degree in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
She loves finding inspiration in nature and explores abstraction and texture in her paintings. Due to the pandemic, she moved out of her studio at school. Now, she paints large canvas from home and has been claiming half of the dining table, the hall, and any other space where she can make art... that means you can find art supplies everywhere!!
Gaby enjoys long walks and painting outside to make the most out of Chicago's warm season. She is also giving art classes to little ones and adults in the park. If you see her, say hi and join to make some art!
